Selected Birds of Southern Africa

(1 customer review)

Checklist of Selected Birds of Southern Africa follows the scope and general arrangement of the ‘bird section’ of Vincent Carruthers’s Wildlife of Southern Africa (Struik Nature 2016). Of more than nine hundred bird species that have been recorded in southern Africa, Selected Birds omits only those that are unlikely to be seen under normal circumstance. The user-friendly Contents list navigates users effortlessly through more than six hundred bird species organised in 14 colour-coded conventional categories: Birds of Prey, Nocturnal Birds, Warblers and Allies, Seed-eaters, etc. All species are cross-referenced to page numbers in Wildlife of Southern Africa, and Wordsmiths Nature’s unique compact name table, a popular feature in all our Checklists, eliminates the confusion often caused by ‘old’ and ‘new’ species names.

Orders of ten or more checklists will qualify for free courier delivery.
